No. 24 Virginia Cruises Past Clemson, 82-60
Senior guard Monica Wright (Woodbridge, Va.) moved into fifth place on the ACC's all-time scoring list and No. 24 Virginia defeated visiting Clemson, 82-60, Thursday night at John Paul Jones Arena.

With the victory, Virginia improved to 16-6 overall and 5-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Clemson's record fell to 11-13, 2-6 in the league.

Wright finished with 25 points, bringing her career total to 2,293. Already Virginia's all-time leading scorer, Wright moved into sole possession of fifth place in the history of the ACC. She passed former North Carolina guard Ivory Latta (2003-07; 2,285 points). Fourth place on the league's all-time scoring list is occupied by NC State's Linda Page (1982-85; 2,307 points).

Boston College Knocks Off No. 6 Duke, 61-57
Carolyn Swords had 14 points and nine rebounds, going 8 for 8 from the line in the final five minutes to lead Boston College to a 61-57 victory over No. 6 Duke on Thursday night.

It was the first victory for BC (13-10, 3-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) over a ranked team since beating then-No. 2 Ohio State in the second round of the 2006 NCAA tournament.

Jasmine Thomas scored 19 points for Duke (18-4, 6-1), which had been the last unbeaten team in the ACC.

Hurricanes Topple Tar Heels, 80-69
Shenise Johnson had 25 points and 10 rebounds as Miami snapped a three-game losing streak with an 80-69 victory over No. 9 North Carolina on Thursday night.

The Hurricanes broke a 61-61 tie with 10 consecutive points late in the second half. Johnson scored seven points during the spurt and her two free throws with 3:18 remaning capped the run.

Riquna Williams finished with 19 points for the Hurricanes (15-7, 3-5 Atlantic Coast Conference).
