COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland wrestling coach, John McHugh, is pleased to announce that Adam James (Silver Spring, Md.) has signed a letter of intent and will wrestle for the 2001-2002 squad. He is the first wrestler to sign for next year.

A standout at Paint Branch High School, James posted a 38-0 record during his senior year. He also won the Maryland state championship at the 152-pound weight class. He is projected to challenge for a position at 149 or 157, said McHugh.
