CHAPEL HILL -- Two University of North Carolina wrestlers, Jamie Groudle and Clint Osborn, have been honored by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) as honorable mention Academic All-America selections. Groudle is a senior business administration major from Akron, Ohio, while Osborn is a sophomore from Chapel Hill who is majoring in English and economics.

Under the direction of head coach Bill Lam, Carolina won its fourth straight Atlantic Coast Conference wrestling championship this past season. Osborn was among four ACC champions on the Tar Heel squad, placing first in the 197-pound division. Osborn finished the season 20-11 and was one of five NCAA qualifiers.

Groudle was 22-10 with six dual meet wins as a senior, and he finished his career 80-46 with 19 wins by fall. Groudle placed third at 165 pounds at the ACC Championships and was an alternate for the NCAA Tournament in St. Louis. During his Carolina career, Groudle was a two-time ACC runner-up and he qualified twice for NCAAs.

Both Groudle and Osborn have both been named to Dean's List and ACC Academic Honor Roll.
