Fourteen ACC Wrestlers Earn Bids to the 2007 NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The NCAA announced its brackets for the 77th Annual Division I Wrestling Championships on Monday, March 12. The championships will take place March 15-17 at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Mich. The University of Michigan and the Detroit Metro Sports Commission are the hosts.

Below is the schedule of the opening matches for the Atlantic Coast Conference's 14 student-athletes - the 10 ACC weight-class champions who were automatic qualifiers and the league's four wild card selections.

Five ACC wrestlers earned seedings (top 12) in their respective weight classes. NC State's Jainor Palma garnered the highest seed in the league, entering the championship as the #8 seed in the heavyweight class. North Carolina's Evan Sola claimed the #10 seed at the 133 weight class. Fellow Tar Heel Spencer Nadolsky earned the #11 seed at heavyweight. Mike Letts of Maryland (174) and Rocco Caponi of Virginia (184) garnered a #12 seed in their respective weight classes.
