GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina's Evan Sola was named ACC Wrestler of the Week after defeating a ranked opponent in the 133-pound weight class.

Sola, a freshman from Wernersville, Pa., defeated Appalachian State's Travis Drake, 3-2, for his 14th consecutive victory. Drake is ranked No. 16 nationally by Intermat. The Tar Heels defeated Appalachian State (34-6) and Gardner-Webb (27-19) during the week.

Sola finished the regular season 24-9 overall including a 14-1 record in dual matches.
