GREENSBORO, N.C. - Rocco Caponi of Virginia has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week after recording a milestone victory as the Cavaliers hosted three dual matches over the weekend.

Caponi, a 184-pound senior from Uniontown, Ohio, posted his 100th career win when he edged UNC Greensboro's Mike McGee, 5-4, on Saturday. Caponi followed up with a 15-0 technical fall over Rutgers' McPaul Ogbanna and a 2-0 decision over Appalachian State's Dylan Temple. Virginia (7-7) defeated UNC Greensboro 27-13, dropped a 28-15 decision to Rutgers and topped Appalachian State 34-9.

Caponi's 102 career wins tie for the third most on Virginia's all-time list. He entered last weekend's competition ranked 17th nationally among 184-pound wrestlers and has been ranked among the top 20 throughout the season. Caponi is just the sixth Virginia wrestler to reach the 100-win plateau.
