SAINT LOUIS, Missouri - University of Virginia wrestlers Rocco Caponi (Uniontown, Ohio/SVSM) and Paul Bjorlo (Reston, Va./South Lakes) competed in their second matches of the 2005 NCAA Wrestling Championships at the Savvis Center. Caponi posted a 9-2 victory over Wisconsin's Kelly Flaherty at 174-pounds, while Bjorlo dropped a 10-4 decision to Oklahoma State's Kevin Ward at 157-pounds in their second bouts at Nationals. Caponi is now 1-1 and will face Minnesota's Gabriel Dretsch in his next bout. Bjorlo went 0-2 after a pair of matches.

Caponi lost a hard-fought 9-5 decision to Lehigh's #8 seeded Travis Frick in his first match before defeating Flaherty. Bjorlo dropped a close 5-3 decision to Penn State's Nate Galloway in his first match before falling to Ward.
