CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina's men's tennis recruiting class recently got better with the announcement that Daniel Pinchbeck of Edmondson Park, Australia has signed a letter of intent with the Tar Heels and will enroll at UNC this fall.

Pinchbeck, who attended Mount Caramel Catholic, is one of the top-ranked junior players in Australia. He is the younger brother of Kate Pinchbeck who recently completed her sophomore year as a Tar Heel for the Carolina women's tennis team.

Pinchbeck joins what is already the best recruiting class in Coach Sam Paul's tenure at North Carolina. In the fall Carolina signed Jonathan Janda of Shelby, N.C. and Geoff Boyd of Atlanta, Ga. Carolina is also expected to receive a commitment from a transfer in the coming weeks.
