Duke's Arnould Named ACC Men's Tennis Player of Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke senior Dylan Arnould has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week after capturing the Duke Invitational singles title for the second straight year.
Arnould, a senior from Northampton, Mass., posted a 3-0 singles record in the tournament and is 8-1 all-time in the event, tied for the most wins by any individual in tournament history.
Arnould opened play with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Elon’s Philip Nemec and posted a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 victory over East Tennessee State’s Sander Gille.
Arnould capped off the victory with a three-set win over No. 99 Brennan Boyajian of North Carolina, the second ranked win of the season for the Duke senior.
The 2010 spring season gets into full swing this weekend, with 10 of the ACC’s 12 teams scheduled to play at least one match. The opening rounds of the ITA National Indoors are scheduled Jan. 29-31 at campus sites.
