Josh Cohen Falls in First Round of NCAA Singles Championship

Buck struck quickly, taking the first set 6-0 and then jumping to a one-love lead in the second set. Cohen, however, tied the score at one-all and never trailed again en route to 6-2 win to force a third and deciding set. In the third set, Cohen once again found down 3-1. He would go on to win three more games but could not catch up to Buck who won his 18th consecutive match with a 6-0, 2-6, 6-4 victory. Cohen, ranked 42nd in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, closes his sophomore season with a 23-12 overall record. Buck, ranked 67th, improves to 26-2 overall and advances to the Round of 32 where he will face Old Dominion's Izak Vandu Merwe.
