South Carolina Trips Deacons 4-3
It came down to the third set in the last singles match but the No. 18 Wake Forest men's tennis team was unable to pull out a win and fell 4-3 at No. 19 South Carolina on Thursday afternoon.

The Demon Deacons (9-5) started the doubles round by splitting matches at Nos. 2 and 3. Iain Atkinson and Jason Morgenstern fell 8-5 to Jaime Cuellar/Johannes Pulsfort at No. 3, but David Hopkins and Jon Wolff fired back with an 8-5 win at No. 2 to even play. Cory Parr and Steven Forman then dropped a tough 8-9 (5) tiebreaker at No. 1 and the Gamecocks (13-3) pulled ahead 1-0.

Sophomore Jonathan Wolff tied the match at 1-all with a straight set win over Jamie Cuellar and Steven Forman pushed the Deacons forward with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over No. 115 Pedro Campos at No. 2.
