Tiger Men's Tennis Team Tops Florida Atlantic

MIAMI - The Clemson men's tennis team defeated Florida Atlantic University, 6-1, Friday morning in Miami, giving the Tigers a 3-1 record.

At number one singles, sophomore Josh Goffi defeated Daniel Dauber, 6-2, 6-4. The Tigers' only loss came at number two singles, with senior Ryan Bauer falling to Ludovic Pain, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5. Junior Pablo Bellagamba was victorious over Ben Cooper 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 at number three singles, and junior Tomasz Boniecki defeated Doug Deuriendt 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 at the fourth singles spot. Junior Luis Garcia defeated Martin Gius 6-1, 6-0 at number five singles, and at six singles sophomore Brad Emendorfer beat Itay Shimony 6-3, 6-3.

The Tigers won all three doubles matches, with the team of Goffi and Bellagamba defeating Dauber and Faerman, 8-5 at number one. In flight two doubles, Bauer and Garcia defeated Cooper and Deuriendt, 8-5. At fight three doubles, Emendorfer and freshman Marko Gojanovic defeated Pain and Shimony, 8-4.

Clemson (3-1) will play at TCU Wednesday, March 3 at 1:30 p.m.
