Georgia Tech Netters Blank Georgia State, 7-0 Playing outdoors for the first time this spring with wind gusts reaching 25 miles per hour, the Yellow Jackets improved to 4-2 in dual matches this season, while the Panthers remained winless at 0-8. Gomez, a sophomore from Alicante, Spain, who is ranked No. 14 in the nation, improved his dual match record to 19-4 with his victory. All six Tech players won in straight sets, beginning with sophomore Miguel Muguruza's 6-1, 6-1 decision over Henri Mangin at No. 3 singles. Sophomore Doug Kenny was next to finish with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Trenton Spinks at No. 6 before Gomez clinched the match for the Jackets at No. 1.
