Guillermo Gomez captured a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Nejc Podkrajsek in the clinching match, and Georgia Tech did not lose a set Thursday in handing Georgia State a 7-0 men's tennis defeat Thursday at the Bill Moore Tennis Center on the Tech campus.

Gomez, a sophomore from Alicante, Spain, who is ranked No. 14 in the nation, improved his dual match record to 19-4 with his victory.

All six Tech players won in straight sets, beginning with sophomore Miguel Muguruza's 6-1, 6-1 decision over Henri Mangin at No. 3 singles. Sophomore Doug Kenny was next to finish with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Trenton Spinks at No. 6 before Gomez clinched the match for the Jackets at No. 1.
