![]() Wake Forest Cruises Past Northwestern

Evanston, Ill. - The 24th-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team eased past 56th-ranked Northwestern, 7-0, on Sunday in Evanston, Ill. The Deacons improved their season record to 2-0. Wake Forest won all three doubles matches, including an upset at number one. Todd Paul and Mariusz Adamski knocked off 27th-ranked Matt Christian and Willy Lock, 8-5. Cory Parr and Steven Forman won at number two, 8-6. At number three, Charles Sartor and Andrew Brasseaux posted an 8-2 victory. In singles, the lineup was the same as Saturday's season opener except Parr and Hamar traded positions. Hamar dropped his first set at the number three position, but rallied to win 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (3). Paul, Parr, Adamski, Forman and Jason Morgenstern all won in straight sets. Wake Forest returns to Winston-Salem for three home matches next weekend. The Deacons will host William & Mary at 9:00 a.m. and Elon at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Old Dominion comes to town on Sunday.
