GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia's Luke Anderson and North Carolina's Kelly Woodruff were named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Performers of the Week, respectively.
Anderson, a native of Charlottesville, Va., clocked an "NCAA B" time of 20.20 in the 50 freestyle, breaking the Georgia Tech pool record in the event. The senior also posted a first-place 44.69 "NCAA B" time in the 100 freestyle. Anderson was also a member of Virginia's winning 200 medley relay.
Woodruff posted a career-best and "NCAA B" time in the 400 individual medley at 4:20.85. The freshman from Shoreline, Wash., also recorded a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:06.15, helping North Carolina to a 199-94 win over Duke.
