Rob Lovejoy Named ACC Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina junior forward Rob Lovejoy has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, announced by conference officials on Tuesday.
It is the second weekly honor of the season for Lovejoy who was named ACC Player of the Week on Oct. 16.
Lovejoy scored a goal and an assist in North Carolina’s 2-0 win at NC State on Oct. 26. Lovejoy headed in the game-winning goal on a free kick from Martin Murphy in the 64th minute and provided the assist on Danny Garcia’s insurance goal in the 86th minute. The game winner is his second in four games.
2012 ACC Championship seeds will be solidified on Thursday with eight teams in action as the regular season comes to a close. The Tar Heels host Boston College, Maryland plays at Wake Forest, NC State welcomes Virginia and Clemson hosts Virginia Tech. All four games will kickoff at 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN3.
