GREENSBORO, N.C. - Boston College's Charlie Rugg and Wake Forest's Austin da Luz share this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week honor after leading their respective squads to victories over ranked league opponents.

As the Eagles' scoring leader with 15 points, six goals and three assists in 13 games, Rugg's two-goal performance marked his second of the season. The Roslindale, Mass., native also scored twice in BC's 3-0 home win over Fairfield on Sept. 15.

Wake Forest's Austin da LuzDa Luz scored a goal and added four assists in helping No. 5 Wake Forest to a pair of road victories last week. The midfielder assisted on teammate Anthony Arena's game-winning goal in a 1-0 win at College of Charleston in non-conference play early in the week. The assist was his sixth game-winning assist of this season. Da Luz also registered a career-high five points, contributing on all four goals in a 4-1 win at No. 14/12 NC State. The same week da Luz tallied a big performance, his father and Wake Forest head women's soccer coach Tony da Luz made some waves of his own. Thursday night's 2-0 win at NC State was the 200th of da Luz's coaching career. Wake Forest women currently own a five-game unbeaten streak and have not allowed a goal during that span.
