A Look at Carolina's Run to No. 1 in Men's Soccer

Carolina's top-ranked men's soccer team defeated Charlotte, 3-0, Wednesday evening to improve to 13-2 on the 2000 season, tying the best start in school history.

Carolina will be back in action on Sunday at 2 p.m. against NC State at Fetzer Field.

Here's a look at some of the Tar Heels making a big impact this season.

National Player-of-the-Year candidate Chris Carrieri leads the ACC in goals, assists, points, points per game and goals per game. His 47 points this season are a school record.


Logan Pause ranks fourth among Tar Heels with nine points on three goals and three assists this season.


Caleb Norkus has scored 10 goals in the last seven games and is tied for second in the ACC with eight assists.


Michael Bucy is tied for second in the ACC in assists this season with eight.


Michael Ueltschey leads the ACC in goals-against average at 0.88.
