Sept. 25, 2012
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke senior goalkeeper James Belshaw has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, announced by conference officials on Tuesday.
It is Belshaw’s third ACC Player of the Week nod of his career.
Belshaw stopped eight shots in 110 minutes of a scoreless draw at No. 16 Wake Forest on Sept. 21. It was the senior’s third time of his career he has made at least eight saves in a game, while helping the Blue Devils to their third consecutive shutout. Duke has not allowed a goal in the last 322:45.
Following a full slate of non-conference games on Tuesday, league action continues on Friday, Sept 28 with eight teams in action. Highlighting the Friday’s schedule is North Carolina at Duke, which will air live on the ACC Digital Network on YouTube.
