KINGSTON, Ontario - Junior All-American candidate Julian Valentin returned to action following offseason ankle surgery with the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team last week.

Valentin, who missed the entire spring season with the Demon Deacons, started both matches and served as captain for the opener. The U.S. defeated Canada, 2-1, in the first meeting, but walked away with a 1-1 draw in the second match.

The next event for the U-20s is the Northern Ireland Milk Cup. The U.S. will leave for the tournament on July 27 and play Wales on Monday, July 31 and Denmark on Wednesday, Aug. 2, before playing a placement match on Friday, Aug. 4. The other group consists of Northern Ireland, Paraguay and Turkey. A roster for the tournament will be announced in the near future.
