TORONTO, Canada - A tying U.S. goal in the 88th minute of Wednesday's FIFA Under-20 World Cup Round of 16 lead to a gridlock that ended when Deacon defender Julian Valentin provided an assist to teammate Michael Bradley in the 106th minute to lift the U.S. National Team 2-1 over Uruguay.

With the win, the squad secured a spot in the World Cup quarterfinals, scheduled for Saturday, July 14 against Austria.
