Raleigh, N.C. - Three defenders from the NC State men's soccer team have been named to the 2005 All-ACC Academic Team announced this week by the Atlantic Coast Conference. Juniors Rami Ghanayem and Haddon Kirk and freshman Ronnie Bouemboue all earned GPAs of at least a 3.0 last semester, as well has having a career GPA of 3.0 or better.

Rami Ghanayem (Durham, N.C.) is a three-year starter for the Pack, this past season starting all 19 games as an outside defender.

Haddon Kirk (Winston-Salem, N.C.) entered the Pack's starting line-up this past season, and started all 19 games as a central defender. Haddon had an assist on the Pack's game-winning goal against No. 7 St. John's.

Ronnie Bouemboue (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a strong freshman season for the Pack, earning a spot on the ACC All-Freshman Team. Bouemboue started 17 games for the Wolfpack this past season as an outside defender, notching two goals and four assists for eight points.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
