CARY, N.C. -- Wasting no time, the No. 6 seeded Clemson Tigers capitalized immediately on an unassisted goal by Dimelon Westfield at the 2:17 mark. No. 3 North Carolina responded shortly after with an unassisted goal from David Testo at the 7:40 mark. The teams continued to trade goals as Westfield scored his second goal of the night unassisted at the 18:59 mark only to be countered by David Testo on an assist by Ray Fumo. The Tigers were finally able to seperate themselves on an unassisted goal scored by Steven Rhyne at the 40:55 mark. With the victory, Clemson improves to 12-3-3 while North Carolina falls to 13-6-1.
