Sih's Late Tally Gives No. 22 Duke 1-0 Win Over Colgate DURHAM, N.C.--Duke University sophomore Nick Sih tallied a goal in the 79th minute as the 22nd-ranked Blue Devils shut out visiting Colgate 1-0 in non-conference men's soccer action this evening at Koskinen Stadium. Duke has not allowed a goal in the past four games, spanning 386:21. Duke improves to 9-5-2 overall, while Colgate falls to 8-5-3 on the year. It was Duke's ninth shutout of the year as rookie Jan Trnka-Amhrein earned his first career start in the goal. Villanueva Propels Virginia Past American, 4-2 CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Jonathan Villanueva played a part in each of the Cavaliers' four goals and the Virginia men's soccer team defeated American, 4-2, Tuesday night at Klöckner Stadium. Villanueva scored his first goals of the season and assisted on two more to keep the Cavaliers unbeaten in their last seven matches at home. "American is a good opponent, they were well organized and a possessive team and this was not an easy game," UVa head coach George Gelnovatch said. "On the flip side, we were able to score four goals and I thought we managed the game well. We can now turn our attention to Maryland." BC Men's Soccer Falls To Holy Cross 1-0 In 105th Minute NEWTON, Mass. - Junior Ryan O'Hanlon scored off a rebound from six yards out in the 105th minute to lift Holy Cross to a 1-0 non-conference victory over Boston College before 302 fans at the Newton Campus Soccer Complex on Tuesday night. BC goalkeeper Chris Brown (three saves) made the initial save on freshman Tony Rosales' one-timer from inside the 18-yard box before O'Hanlon netted the rebound for the gamewinner at 104:32. No. 7 Carolina Clipped At Campbell, 2-0 BUIES CREEK, N.C. - In its final non-conference tilt of the season, No. 7 North Carolina suffered its first loss outside of the Atlantic Coast Conference - a 2-0 defeat at Campbell - Tuesday at Eakes Athletic Complex. The Camels (11-5-0) registered their ninth straight win and have clipped the Tar Heels (11-4-1) in each of the last three seasons. Richard Jata and Vince Petrasso provided the only offense of the night with Campbell goals in the 39th and 56th minutes, respectively.
