Tommy Drake scored one goal and assisted on the other in leading Clemson to a 2-1 win over 14th-ranked Furman in a men's intercollegiate soccer match at Clemson, SC Wednesday night.

With the win, Clemson improves to 6-7-1 overall, while Furman falls to 12-2 this season.Furman is ranked 14th in the NSCAA poll and 22nd by Soccer America.

Clemson scored early in the match during the fifth minute. Nathan Thornton scored his fourth goal of the year with assists by Drake and Eric Cava.

The Tigers went up 2-0 when Drake converted on a penalty kick at the 34:18 mark.
