The No. 2 Wake Forest men's soccer team grabbed its third conference win of the season on Saturday night, defeating the NC State Wolfpack 4-0 at Spry Stadium.

With the win Deacons improved to 9-0-2 and 3-0-1 in the ACC while the Pack is now 4-5-3 and 0-3-1.

Arnoux and Corben Bone set up Schilawski for his second shot of the night in the 22nd minute, breaking through the Wolfpack defense to fire a dead center missile from the 15-yard mark.

Tech sets school record unbeaten streak, ties Maryland 1-1

Junior forward Patrick Nyarko scored 22:20 into the match for the Hokies and the No. 8 Virginia Tech men's soccer team established a new school record with an 11-match unbeaten streak after a 1-1 tie against Maryland at Ludwig Field on Saturday.

Tech (7-1-4, 1-0-3 ACC) earned its fourth tie of the season to extend the school's longest unbeaten streak to 11 matches, going 7-0-4 since Sept. 2. The Hokies earned their first-ever tie against Maryland and are now 0-5-1 all-time against the Terrapins.

In their third overtime match in the last four contests, the Hokies moved to 1-0-4 in extra time this season. Tech's four ties this season is already the second most in the program's 36-year history, trailing only the 2005 team that settled for five draws.

The Hokies are now 1-0-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and currently enjoy the school's second four-match ACC unbeaten streak since joining the conference in 2004. In addition to the 1-1 tie at Maryland, Tech defeated Clemson 2-1 in double overtime, and then earned consecutive 1-1 draws against top-five teams, Virginia and Wake Forest. In 2005, the Hokies had a 3-1 stretch with wins against North Carolina, NC State, and Virginia while settling for a tie versus Clemson.
