NC State head coach George Tarantini recorded his 200th career victory this afternoon, as NC State downed visiting High Point 5-0 at Method Road. The Wolfpack (4-3-3) had five different players score on the day, and recorded its third shutout of the season.
NC State started its scoring off in the 21st minute. Sophomore Alan Sanchez took a hard shot on goal, that bounced off the keeper's hands and rolled toward the goalline. Classmate Daniel Fish came in and slide the ball into the net for his second goal of the season at the 20:37 mark.
The Pack would add one more goal before the half. Freshman Tyler Lassiter and Sanchez worked a perfect one-two combo along the sideline, resulting in Lassiter bending his shot into the top, right corner at the net for his first collegiate goal at the 38:58 mark.
NC State went into the half up 2-0, outshooting the Panthers 10-3.
