UVa Blanks Central Connecticut State, 4-0

CHARLOTTESVILLE - Tony Tchani scored two goals and had an assist to lead the Virginia men's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over visiting Central Connecticut State Tuesday night at Klöckner Stadium. For Tchani, it was his second-straight multi-goal game, while the Cavaliers posted their second-straight shutout.

"We are getting more comfortable finishing our chances," Virginia head coach George Gelnovatch said. "It helps us manage the game and good things happen."

Offensive Outburst Fuels 4-0 Win for No. 2 Terps Men's Soccer

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 2 Maryland men's soccer team started early and held once again, outlasting American, 3-0, on Tuesday night at Ludwig Field in non-conference action.

Maryland opened up play by scoring early for the third straight game when Doug Rodkey fired a shot at American keeper Matt Makowski in the third minute which rebounded to Casey Townsend who collected the ball and sent it sailing past Makowski to his left for the first score of the game.

BC Men's Soccer Falls To Brown, 1-0

NEWTON, Mass. -- Senior Rhett Bernstein knocked a loose ball inside the 18-yard box into the net for the game's only goal as Brown defeated No. 13 Boston College in non-league action before 482 fans at the Newton Campus Soccer Complex.

The visiting Bears (4-2-1) capitalized on a corner kick taken by Darren Howerton in the 48th minute. It was one of five Bear corners taken in the second half.
