Men's Soccer Defeats Boston University In Season Opener, 1-0

BOSTON - Junior Mike Konicoff scored the game's only goal to lead Boston College to a 1-0 victory at Boston University. Konicoff beat Boston University goalkeeper Hrafn Davidsson in the 57th minute. Junior Alejandro Bedoya, who recorded his first BC start since transferring from Fairleigh Dickinson, assisted on the score. BC junior goalkeeper Chris Brown made one save to record his second career shutout. The visiting Eagles out shot the Terriers, 13-5. Eagles' midfielder Reuben Ayarna totaled a game-high three shots. Next, Boston College opens the home portion of its 2007 season on Monday, September 3 against Quinnipiac. The game is set for 4 p.m.
