Terp Alums Dougherty, Radebaugh, Reese Named To Major League Lacrosse Star Game
July 26, 2001 Three former Maryland men's lacrosse stars have been named to play in the inaugural 2001 Major League Lacrosse Star Game being held in Bridgeport, Conn., on August 2. Defenseman Brian Reese of the Baltimore Bayhawks has been named a starter for the National Division All-Star Team after strong season. He has played in all eight games in helping Baltimore to a 6-2 record. He has scored one goal and scooped up 12 groundballs. Goalie Brian Dougherty was added to the National Division team as a reserve after a sensational season with the Rochester Rattlers. "Doc" has started all seven games and recorded a 12.68 goals against average. he has made 198 saves for a 55.1 save percentage. Defenseman Dan Radebaugh was also named a starter for the American Division All-Stars. He has played in all eight games for the Boston Cannons, starting six, and recording 17 groundballs.
