Former Terps Suit Up For Baltimore Bayhawks
June 7, 2001 BALTIMORE, Md. - Two former Maryland men's lacrosse players will take on the Long Island Lizards in the inaugural Major League Lacrosse regular-season game on Thursday night at Homewood Field on Johns Hopkins University's campus. Brian Reese (1995-98) and Kip Fulks (1992-95) will both suit up for the Baltimore Bayhawks. "People want to see kids that they have followed since high school," Bayhawks defender Brian Reese told the Baltimore Sun. "I expect the first game to be a great event." Both players have played in the indoor National Lacrosse League for the past few seasons, including playing for the Washington Power this past winter. They will take on Power teammate turned foe in their first game as they face Gary Gait of the Lizards. One of the greatest lacrosse players ever, Gait has served as an assistant coach with the Maryland women's lacrosse team for the past eight years. Here's the complete Bayhawks schedule
