CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Senior midfielder Johnny Seivold (Efland, N.C.) and senior defenseman Ronnie Staines (Severna Park, Md.) have been chosen as representatives of the University of North Carolina's men's lacrosse team to compete in the 2004 U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's North-South Senior All-Star Game June 12 at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y.

Staines was named this past Monday as a first-team All-America by the USILA. He was also named All-ACC in 2004. One of the most consistent players in UNC history, he started 53 successive games over the past four years.

Seivold, a gritty midfielder with speed and toughness, started on the Tar Heels' first midfield unit as a senior after running on the second midfield his sophomore and junior years. His father, Joey Seivold, played in the USILA North-South Game in 1987.
