ACC Student-Athletes Earn USILA Scholar All-America Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Six ACC men's lacrosse student-athletes have been named as USILA Scholar All-Americans, as announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. Maryland's Jesse Bernhardt, Joe Cummings, and John Haus, Duke's CJ Costabile and Robert Rotanz, and Virginia's Rob Fortunato were recognized.
The six players honored ties a conference record that has been reached in three of the past four years (2009 and 2011). Additionally, it ranked second for any conference in the nation regardless of division behind only Division III's Liberty League (10).
In 1989, the USILA Scholar All-America Program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. The USILA Selection Committee selects an overall team representing Division I, II and III. The Scholar All-Americas are recognized at the annual Lacrosse All-America Banquet.
