GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke's Zack Greer has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 6.
Greer, a native of Whitby (Ontario), Canada, turned in an impressive performance for No. 2 Duke last week. He scored six goals, all in the second half, to help the Blue Devils dominate 11th-ranked Johns Hopkins 17-6 on Saturday. The six goals moved the senior attackman to the top spot of the ACC record book as the all-time scoring leader and added to his NCAA-leading 39 this season. In addition, he moved into seventh place on the NCAA all-time chart and now has 180 career goals.
The Blue Devils will travel to Charlottesville, Va., this Saturday to face the No. 3 Cavaliers in a battle of the top three teams in the nation.
