Duke's Justin Turri Earns ACC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke’s Justin Turri was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, March 15. The redshirt freshman registered a career-high three goals and an assist to lead No. 10 Duke to a 12-8 victory over No. 8 North Carolina at a rain-soaked Kenan Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The midfielder from West Islip, N.Y., posted three goals and four points in the win, which were both career bests. Turri assisted on Duke’s first goal of the game and scored the following goal to give the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead. He added two consecutive goals to put the game out of reach at 8-4.

Turri is currently fifth on the team with 12 points this season. He has played in eight collegiate games after missing his rookie season due to injury.

Duke returns to action on Tuesday, March 17, hosting No. 4 Cornell at Koskinen Stadium at 7 p.m. ET.
