Duke Dominates ACC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors Presented By Chevrolet

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke freshman attacker Jordan Wolf and goalkeeper Dan Wigrizer have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week presented by Chevrolet, respectively, for the period ending on Monday, March 7.
Wolf tallied the game-winning goal 1:01 into overtime to give Duke a 9-8 upset victory over No. 3 Maryland. The newcomer from Wynnewood, Pa., led all Blue Devil scorers with three goals, notching his first career hat trick. Wolf had not even scored a single goal in a game prior to the win over Maryland. He also picked up three ground balls in the conference victory.
Wigrizer matched his career-high in saves, making 17 stops in a 9-8 overtime victory over the Terrapins. The sophomore from Villanova, Pa., had 10 saves in the second half, including five in the third quarter, in which Duke shut out the Terrapins. The 17 saves mark the second straight game in which he has posted double digit saves. He currently owns a .609 save percentage and an 8.26 goals against average.
ACC Men's Lacrosse action continues tonight as North Carolina welcomes Penn and Virginia hosts Vermont - both slated to begin at 7 p.m.
