Maryland senior midfielder Will Yeatman Was Named ACC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland senior midfielder Will Yeatman was named Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 28. Yeatman scored three times in Maryland's 15-13 victory over local rival and nationally-ranked Georgetown.
Yeatman recorded his first career hat trick as a Terp, scoring three goals in a span of less than six minutes, during a decisive 7-0 Maryland run that sealed the victory over the Hoyas. With the Terrapins trailing, 11-9, late in the third quarter, the San Diego, Calif., native scored two straight goals to even the score. Yeatman then increased Maryland's lead to 13-10 in the fourth quarter with his third score of the game.
Yeatman is tied for the team lead in goals this season with four, and boasts a .571 shot percentage with six shots-on-goal in seven tries.
The sixth-ranked Terps next play on Saturday, March 6, when they host ninth-ranked Duke at M&T Bank Stadium at 11 a.m. in a nationally televised game (ESPNU).
