Blue Devils Fall To No. 3 Cornell

Cornell junior Ryan Hurley tallied a game-high five goals to lead the third-ranked Big Red to a 10-6 victory over No. 8 Duke in men’s lacrosse action at Koskinen Stadium this evening. Blue Devil senior Ned Crotty led Duke with three assists in the game.

Duke falls to 6-3 overall on the year and to 27-3 at home since 2007. The win pushes Cornell to 4-1 overall on the year. The Big Red’s 10 goals marked just the second time this season Duke has allowed its opponent double digit scoring. Cornell used a 6-1 run over the course of three quarters to secure the victory.

Junior attackman Max Quinzani added two scores for Duke, while Justin Turri and Zach Howell both had a goal and an assist in the contest. Max Seibald added three goals and two assists for Cornell in the win.
