No. 5 Maryland Men's Lacrosse Rolls Past Bryant, 13-6
Big games from senior Dan Groot and sophomores Grant Catalino and Travis Reed propelled the No. 5 University of Maryland men's lacrosse team to a 13-6 victory over Bryant at a soggy Ludwig Field Sunday afternoon.

Playing less than 24 hours after a disappointing outing against UMBC, the Terps came out against the Bulldogs determined to get back on track. And Bryant helped Maryland right off the bat thanks to a pair of penalties by Anthony Ianello in the first minute of play. Groot converted on the first extra-man chance just 18 seconds after the whistle with a quick low-to-low shot from the right alley off of a feed from junior Will Yeatman. The second EMO took a little longer, but the result was the same. This time it was Groot picking up the assist thanks to a great shot by Reed from 12 yards out straight away.

The fireworks continued with the Bulldogs picking up their first score of the game at the 12:27 mark, but the Terps answered back quickly with a great give-and-go that started with Groot sending a pass to Catalino on the left wing, where he slipped the ball right back to Groot, who made a great cut down the alley and scored past Bryant goalie Jameson Love.
