Former Wolfpack Golfer Finishes T-43rd At Advil Western Open
July 7, 2002 Former Wolfpack All-American Tim Clark fired a final round 69 at the Advil Western Open to finish tied for 43rd. He started final round action on Sunday in 61st place but used an eagle on the tenth hole to climb the leaderboard. He also collected birdies on 5 and 15, firing only one bogey in the final round. Clark carded ten birdies through 36 holes with only 7 bogeys to record rounds of 70 and 71 to make the weekend cut. He posted four bogeys on Saturday to fire a 73. He posted a tournament drive average of 274 after a final round average of 286. Clark was a three-time All-American at NC State and was the 1997 ACC Player of the Year.
