Cavalier Athletes to Caddy for Chitengwa
June 9, 2004 CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - University of Virginia student-athletes will serve as caddies for the 2004 Lewis Chitengwa Championship this week. More than 130 local residents will work the Canadian Tour event as caddies. Among the UVa caddies are football player Wali Lundy (Willingboro, N.J.), basketball's J.R. Reynolds (Roanoke, Va.), and women's basketball graduate Safiya Grant-Fairley (Bronx, N.Y.). Featuring 156 golfers, the Lewis Chitengwa Championship tees off on Thursday, June 10 and runs through Sunday, June 13 at Wintergreen's Stoney Creek Golf Course. Admission to the championship is FREE.
