Opelika, Ala. - Virginia senior James Driscoll is in a six-way tie for 13th place heading into the final round at the NCAA Golf Championship at the Grand National Golf Club. Driscoll fired a 71 today and has a total of 210 after the third round. He is 14 strokes behind tournament leader Charles Howell of Oklahoma State who tied the course record with 63 today. Howell, who entered today's round tied for the lead with David Gossett of Texas, holds a three-shot lead over Gossett in the individual standings.

In the team standings, Oklahoma State holds a three-shot lead over Texas. Georgia Tech is in third, eight strokes behind the leader.
