Blue Devils Finish Fifth at Gifford Collegiate
Senior Adam Long fired a one-under 71 on Wednesday as Duke shot an eight-over 368 to finish fifth at the Gifford Collegiate at CordeValle. The Blue Devils closed the event with a seven-under 1,073 (six-count-five format).

Second-ranked Stanford claimed the tournament title with a 24-under 1,056. The Cardinal shot a final round 352 to record a three stroke victory over No. 1 Oklahoma State (-21, 1,059). Augusta State shot a 10-under 350 on Wednesday to finish third with a -19, 1061, while host UCLA placed fourth at 13-under (1,067).

Freshman Julian Suri battled throughout the final round to shoot a two-over 74 and finished the tournament tied for eighth at five-under (211). He finished the day with two birdies, 12 pars and four bogeys. Suri closes out the fall season with four top 20 in four events.
