UVa Finishes Second at Weather-Shortened Cavalier Classic
South Carolina won the 2009 Cavalier Classic when the second round was not completed due to a lighting delay that lasted 1:45. Play was halted at approximately 3:30 p.m. and would not have been able to be resumed until 5:15 p.m. Tournament officials concluded the teams remaining on the course would not be able to complete play before darkness and the second round was not finished. Final results were based on Saturday’s first round of play.
