Celebrating ACC Football: Thursday, December 4
Dec. 4, 2008
This week, we will be posting a special "Beyond the ACCtion" to take you inside the 48-Hour Celebration of ACC Football surrounding the 2008 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship. We hope you enjoy the behind-the-scenes look at the wide array of activties at the end of The Road to Tampa Bay!
8:00 p.m. - The entire staff, including volunteers, school representatives and ACC staff, just returned fron a welcome reception held at Raymond James Stadium. Everyone enjoyed themselves and got to meet some of the people they work with from Tampa. It is always nice to put a face with the person you have been emailing with for the past four months! While some people are done for the night, the ACC staff is preparing for a staff meeting later in the evening. More updates to follow!
5:00 p.m. - The credential desk is closing, and it is time for me to move! Check back later, for a photo gallery and even more entries celebrating ACC Football!
3:45 p.m. - There are only 48 hours until the 2008 Dr Pepper ACC Championship and the Raymond James Stadium staff at is putting the finishing touches on the field. By the time I left the field, the Virginia Tech logo was done and they were touching up the Boston College logo. The midfield logo was also ready to go for gameday.
2:45 p.m. - Some of the local Floridians were wearing long sleeve shirts and complaining about the "cool" air. It is 75 degrees! Coming from North Carolina, where I have been scraping frost off of my car before work for the past few weeks, 75 degrees is downright balmy!
1:00 p.m. - People were lined up to buy tickets when the ticket office opened at 1 p.m. Tickets are still available for as little as $25! ! !
