ACC Night of Legends Event Presented by the Belk Bowl
Charlotte, N.C. (theACC.com) - The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) will host the ACC Night of Legends on Friday, Dec 2. This signature event pays tribute to the outstanding athletes from the ACC's programs, both past and present. The event will honor the 2011 ACC Football season's award winners, as well as a Legend from each ACC institution representing their university during the 2011 ACC Football Championship game in Charlotte. The gala will embody the true spirit of ACC Football and will offer attendees the opportunity to meet some of the biggest names in college football. A reception begins at 6 p.m. and dinner begins at 7 p.m. and guests will be invited in to have a seat, enjoy dinner and the award presentations. The following ACC Legends will be honored:
The following Player and Coach’s awards will be presented: Jacob’s Blocking Trophy Brian Piccolo Award Jim Tatum Award Offensive Rookie of the Year Defensive Rookie of the Year Overall Rookie of the Year (Either the Off. or Def. Rookie of the Year will also win this award) Offensive Player of the Year Defensive Player of the Year Overall Play of the Year (Either the Off. or Def. Player of the Year will also win this award) Coach of the Year About the 2011 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game: The 2011 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game will be played December 3, at 8 p.m. at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium and will feature Atlantic Division Champion Clemson against Coastal Division Champion Virginia Tech.
