GREENSBORO, N.C.-- Following another 300-yard passing performance in Boston College's 10th win of the season last Saturday, Matt Ryan earned his sixth ACC Offensive Back of the Week award this season. Joining Ryan as league honorees for this week are Clemson center Thomas Austin, North Carolina linebacker Mark Paschal, Wake Forest cornerback Alphonso Smith, Florida State placekicker Gary Cismesia and Wake Forest running back Josh Adams.

Austin was named league Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance against rival South Carolina on Saturday. In that game, he recorded eight knockdown blocks as the Tigers won 23-21. Paschal, who started his third game of the season Saturday for the Tar Heels, takes conference Defensive Lineman of the Week after recording 17 tackles against Duke.

Wake Forest's Smith, who set a school single-season record Saturday with his eighth interception, earned Defensive Back of the Week recognition for the second time this season, while FSU's Cismesia was chosen as Specialist of the Week after setting a league record with a 60-yard field goal against Florida Saturday evening.

Rounding out this week's team is Wake Forest's Adams, who was voted ACC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time in 2007 after recording his third 100-yard rushing game this season against Vanderbilt.

OFFENSIVE BACK--
Matt Ryan, Boston College, Quarterback, 6-5, 220, Sr., Exton, Pa.
In BC's final regular season game of 2007 against Miami on Saturday, quarterback Matt Ryan had one of his best days of the year, completing 26-of-43 passes for 369 yards and three touchdowns. After the Hurricanes tied the game at 14 with a fourth-quarter touchdown, Ryan took control of the game, leading the Eagles to two late scores to give them the team its 10th win. With the three touchdowns, Ryan now has 53 for his career, good for third in school history.

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN--
Thomas Austin, Center, Clemson, 6-3, 315, So., Camden, S.C.

Austin played in 85 snaps in Saturday's matchup against in-state rival South Carolina, grading out at 87 percent. In the 23-21 win at Columbia, S.C., he recorded eight knockdown blocks, paving the way for running backs James Davis and C.J. Spiller to gain more than 200 combined yards on the ground.

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN--
Mark Paschal, North Carolina, Linebacker, 6-0, 230, Jr., Charlotte, N.C.
