Duke Travels To Meet Wake Forest
The Blue Devils take to the road to play Wake Forest for the 85th time in a series that dates back to 1889 ... Kickoff is set for 12 noon at Groves Stadium and the game will be televised by Jefferson-Pilot Sports ... Steve Martin (playby- play) and Rick Walker (color) will provide the call while Mike Hogewood covers the sideline beat ... Duke stands at 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the ACC after falling to Virginia, 37-16, last week while Wake Forest is 3-4 overall and 0-4 in league play following its 20-17 defeat to Florida State.

    New Helmets For 2004
    Duke is wearing new helmets this season, returning to a white hat for the first time since the 1993 campaign ...     Last Saturday in Durham, Virginia's Alvin Pearman rushed for 223 yards and one touchdown to lead the 14th-ranked Cavaliers to a 37-16 win over Duke ... The Blue Devils pulled within 23-16 on a Matt Brooks field goal with 14:03 remaining in the fourth quarter, but Virginia responded with a 70- yard drive in seven plays for a three-yard scoring run by Pearman ...
