  • ACC Football kicks off Week 8 with an Atlantic vs. Coastal Division battle between Florida State and North Carolina in a Thursday night primetime matchup on ESPN at 8 p.m. FSU quarterback Christian Ponder leads the Seminoles into Chapel Hill to face the stingy Tar Heel defense led by linebacker Quan Sturdivant.

    In other conference action, C.J. Spiller and company take on Jacory Harris and the red-hot Canes when No. 10 Miami plays host to Clemson at Land Shark Stadium on ABC at 3:30 p.m. No. 12 Georgia Tech looks to keep things rolling when they head to Charlottesville to face Virginia on RAYCOM at noon., while Maryland travels to Durham to face Duke on ESPN360.com at 1:30 p.m.

    The non-conference schedule features a nationally televised game in South Bend between Boston College and Notre Dame on NBC at 3:30 p.m. and a matchup between Wake Forest and Navy in Annapolis on CBS College Sports at 3:30 p.m.

    After some exciting matchups in Week 7, ACC Football landed three teams in the Top 15 of the first BCS standings of the year, led by No. 10 Miami, No. 12 Georgia Tech and No. 14 Virginia Tech.
