ACC Announces 12 Days of ACC Football to Preview 2007 Season

GREENSBORO, N.C. -The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that the ACC's official website, www.theACC.com, will feature a special pre-season football preview of the Conference's schools entitled "The 12 Days of ACC Football 2007: The Road to Jacksonville".

The series, a virtual preview tour of the league's 12 football programs, will begin this Thursday with an advance look at last year's ACC Football Champions, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, and will conclude on Monday, August 24, with an early look at the Duke Blue Devils. In between, each ACC school will be previewed individually on 12 consecutive weekdays.

The series will consist of a preview story from each school written by former Durham Herald and veteran ACC sportswriter Al Featherston as well as updated bios of ACC head coaches, statistics, rosters and notes on the upcoming football season. Additionally, preview video action clips will be available produced by the ACC's video department. Links are also available to each school's football web page.

Information and links to the 2007 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game, which will be played on Dec. 1 at Jacksonville's Municipal Stadium (formerly Alltel Stadium) are also available. Televised for the third straight year by ABC Sports, the ACC title game will have a 1 pm kickoff for the second year in a row.

  • August 14--Virginia (Coastal Division)
  • August 15--Maryland (Atlantic Division)
  • August 16--North Carolina (Coastal Division)
  • August 17--Florida State (Atlantic Division)
  • August 20--Miami (Coastal Division)
  • August 21--Clemson (Atlantic Division)
  • August 22--Georgia Tech (Coastal Division)
  • August 23--Boston College (Atlantic Division)
